XERION 12 wins renowned iF Design Award

The XERION 12 series from CLAAS has already received numerous international awards since its presentation in summer 2023. Now the most powerful CLAAS tractors of all time are also among the winners of the iF Design Awards 2024.

CLAAS products have a long history with the iF Design Awards. The first awards were given over 40 years ago for the DOMINATOR 8 series and the ROLLANT RAPID 56 – the first non-stop round baler ready for series production. To date, 19 CLAAS products have received the iF Award for their groundbreaking design, five of which received the iF Gold Award. The latest seed green award winners are the XERION 12 large tractors presented in 2023, whose external appearance is primarily characterized by the Y design of the bonnet introduced in 2019 with the LEXION 5000 - 8000. The jury's statement stated: “The striking proportions are accentuated by the functional exterior design without appearing too dominant. This makes the CLAAS XERION a distinctive and remarkable machine.“

Markus Matthies, Team Lead Industrial Design and responsible for the design of the XERION 12 series, states: “From the first scribbles in 2018 to the international presentation of the XERION at Agritechnica 2023, we worked across departments with a lot of passion on this great project. After previous international awards such as Tractor of the Year 2024, Farm Machine Award and AE50, the iF Design Award is another outstanding recognition of this team effort.”
